Barry Brennan discusses investing and funding of early stage Start Ups

Thanks to Ciaran Connolly and all the team at ProfileTree for inviting to discuss early stage investment and funding. We talked through some of the issues facing companies looking to raise external capital and for investors intending to invest in this space. As a former banker, cash is always king, so I encouraged companies to "mind the cash" and rerun all their cash projections as the funding landscape will remain tricky this year and beyond. Furthermore, it is important for founders to pause, reflect on and challenge all "pre-Covid" business model assumptions. That said, Ciarán rightly pointed out that you can't pause for too long! And don't forget to accelerate!
